Pregnancy Journal: Walking Cocoa Butter

I am now smelling like a walking cocoa butter…

Because paranoid me have been loyally applying cocoa butter on my fatty tummy in fear of stretch marks.

What are stretch marks?

According to Wikipedia:
Stretch marks are a form of scarring on the skin with an off-color hue, usually as pinkish streaks, commonly occurred on the breasts, thighs, hips, lower back and buttocks. They are caused by tearing of the dermis (layer of skin between the epidermis). Depending on genes, they might diminish over time, but usually will not disappear completely.

Although they are widely associate with pregnancy, it can also be caused by significant weight gain or loss that occurs in a short period of time.

For me, I had stretch mark previously when I wasn’t even aware of what is stretch mark, due to significant weight gain AND weight loss that occurs in a short period of few months. Thus, now I finally realised that it can be ‘fade’ with help of stretch mark cream, of course I will be more hardworking!

Reason why I am now a walking cocoa butter, is because Palmer’s gave me a bottle of free sample! LOL. Although my pregnancy stretch marks are not visible yet, I was advised to apply stretch mark cream to ‘prevent’ them from appearing… so far I did not spot new marks on my body, so I guess this is fine for usage.

Any recommendation for other stretch mark cream with not-so-strong smell? I was recommended a few others by friends but either I saw a 50% mixture of negative and positive feedback on the brand, or the brand is too expensive for me to apply extensively. @_@
