THE Nasi Lemak comes to town

Aliff Nasi Lemak @ Serangoon Garden is one of the popular nasi lemak stalls in Singapore, famous for its incredibly fragrant basmati rice. They have opened their second outlet – THE Nasi Lemak and it’s located centrally at Queen Street.

This round I am having the Signature set from THE Nasi Lemak. It’s served with basmati coconut rice, achar, fried chicken wing, fried kuning fish, otah, fried egg, ikan bilis & peanites, speciality sambal chilli, at just S$6!

The specialty sambal chilli is toward the sweet side but I think they have another spicer version for spicy lovers.
Usually, I don’t order nasi lemak with kuning fish since I always got over-fried fish with dry and hard meat stick to their bones. I am glad that this time, the kuning fish was moist and succulent with crispy skin. I also can’t help but finished the plate of fragrant basmati rice although I was full, thanks to the generous portion of food. Luckily basmati rice is gluten-free, low in fat, very low in sodium, and has no cholesterol – this makes my plate of Nasi Lemak less sinful to indulge.

They also sell sides such as squid balls and sardine & potato curry puffs.

Glad to catch up with Elgena, sis, and Jasmine, and finally meet up with Angela for the delicious lunch!

P/S: Chef Firus will be at THE Nasi Lemak stall on every Monday and Friday~
