Throwback: Babymoon @ Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali – Day 1

This is a very backdated post but I just want to capture the memories before I totally forgotten all about it.

Upon knowing about my pregnancy, I guess one of the regrets is I had hold back a few travel plans, including my honeymoon, due to my work commitment and G’s busy work schedule – I know I can no longer travel without a lot of plannings anymore.

So, in celebration for G’s birthday, and for our first babymoon, we decided to go to Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali for a short getaway. Although I am certified healthy and I do feel so too, kaisi I decided against traveling farther countries for fear of emergencies. Also, there’s usually minimal walking and maximum relaxation in resort. 🙂

There isn’t a lot of reviews for Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali, but we choose it because 1) my mummy brain kicks in and I thought I had went to Banyan Tree Bintan before and “miss” it, 2) I have never been to Bali before.

After we book the resort (Pool Villa Garden View), we were sent an email to plan our stay with activities and personalised the villa with preference for the type of pillows and linen we like, and if we need any kids amenities. WOW! Impressive!

Upon arriving Bali, we were quoted by a pool of taxi drivers quoting us IDR 400,000 to go to the resort (the Banyan Tree Resort website stated the estimated cost is around IDR 150,000)! After some rejections, the taxi drivers cut down the price to IDR 250,000… G ended up decided to take on a private driver who quoted us IDR 200,000.

Once we got there, we were welcomed by a special welcome ceremony, which according to another blog I read – it have no specific meaning… =.=” LOL.

We were served welcome tea while waiting for the check-in process to be completed.

Guess what we saw when we reached our villa? In my reply to the survey, I mentioned about our baby moon, and they actually take the extra steps to decorate the villa for us to set in the ‘babymoon mood’ for us 😛

*Blush*

Despite being almost heavily pregnant and tired, my SOP whenever I go traveling is still… TAKE PHOTOS!

*Snap Snap!*

There’s 2 toilet, so both of us can do business at the same time, lol! Cut down on waiting time! This is not friendly for friends as eh… it’s surrounded by glass and even as husband and wife I still try to look away when G is inside.

Same for the shower area – although the middle portion is surrounded by frozen glass, I think I will locked the whole bathroom area if I come to this resort with my friends and not my hubby.

This sea turtle eventually went back to Singapore with us =)

There’s a lot of complimentary tea and HONEY~

The only complain is the fridge is so small, it can’t put in a lot of food!!

The living area~

There are 2 set of sanitary pack, G love the pouch but we need to pay for it if we want to bring it home~

After finish the initial photo taking session and a warm shower, we finally give in to Z monster and decided to take a good rest before we explore the rest of the room the next morning…
