My first trip to Da Nang, Vietnam (Part 2)

Sheraton Grand Danang Resort & Convention Center

I only managed to settle back into my room around 10pm so I didn’t get to explore the surroundings till the next morning.

Busy taking the usual photos of my room before I start preparing for bed.
I
AM
VERY
TIRED!

My King size bed~ The room is so spacious!

Bathtub! But I don’t have the energy and time to enjoy it. It’s spacious and clean.
Comb, vanity set, saving kit, shower cap, dental kit, body lotion.
Room facilities include a safe, iron, ironing board, room slippers, and bathrobe.

View from my room in the morning, wanted to see the sunrise but think I’m too late.

Playground.
Gym.
Gym.

I prefer the gym facilities at The Westin Desaru Coast Resort, even though I didn’t get a chance to use the gym there. I was amazed to find that I could watch the same TV channels available in the room directly on the treadmill screen. Not crowded, I like.

Yoga room. There’s lesson as early as 6am… I was busy looking for sun then. LOL!
Water Playground at child swimming pool. I can’t imagine how happy Kpo Kia will be if she sees this.
View of the infinite pool from Hotel.
When the end of the infinity pool meets the beach.
I would love to come back someday to enjoy the beach view from the pool. And it’s cleannnnn.
Wish I can soak in this pool.
Spot the beach soccer goal.
The other end of the pool. This is the longest infinity pool I ever saw.
The beach feels much emptier compared to the hotel pool.
Need to catch up my breakfast buffet at Table88 before work starts again.
There’s quite a wide range of variety of food.
Busy trying out everything…. but too fat to try everything….

Colleague highly recommends the ice Vietnamese coffee, so risk trying it even though I already have a cup of cappuccino on my table.
Kids activity is available outside the restaurant, but I didn’t bring my kid along T_T.
Although it’s just one night, I enjoyed myself here, bye bye~ Hope I will be back again!

Ngonn Bistro

Before we leave for the flight back to Singapore, we went to the nearby cafe for our lunch.

According to our guide, ‘Ngonn’ means yummy in Vietnamese.
Tonkatsu salad at VND 49,000 (less than SGD 3). Caught by surprise that the salad is spicy… luckily the sauce on the pork(which I thought is chicken, lol) is sweet…
Butterfly Pea Lychee Tea @ VND 40,000, converted to less than SGD 2.50.
Marinated egg, not too salty.
Ggyzo with Pork and Vegetable at VND 59, 000 (less than SGD 3.50). Actually I cannot figure out what is inside, but like the crunchy texture of the outer skin.
The vegetable fried noodle is only so so at VND 35,000 (less than SGD 2).

Overall, the food at the bistro is decent. I would liked to try more dishes if I wasn’t so bloated. The servers are friendly, though not very attentive, and they missed several of our orders. I’m not sure if this is because they’re unaccustomed to handling large tables, but I hope they can improve in this area.

Danang International Airport

The only external view of the Airport I managed to take during the whole trip, we were quite late so we rushed in immediately after alighting from the minibus.
Coffee Inter Airside
My one and only non-business drink. Treat by colleague. The Salty cream coffee costs around USD 6 (slightly over SGD 8), and is very sweet.

The ground staff are still busy working in the wet weather.
On the way back! I had an aisle seat, but since I was the only one in my row, I converted it into a window seat.
Must try Singapore Laksa LOL.
Sunset view.
Top view. I love this night view.
Hello Singapore! We are back!Colleague mentioned it's a hard landing but I'm too focus on taking photos to notice it. LOL!
